Hi,
We picked up a flying stone on the windscreen today which has made a crater and some 15mm long cracks.
What experiences have members had with getting a replacement screen fitted.
I see on other ID forums, that we should insist that a genuine VW screen is fitted and not a similar look-alike.
Our Buzz has done 8k miles with no major issues.

Look forward to your responses.

Hi,
We had our windscreen replaced at the main dealers where we bought it from.
Great service, expertly fitted, with the side trims replaced.
It was circa £1000 cheaper for an original VW screen than the quote from local windscreen replacement franchise.
Buzz has now done nearly 10k miles and goes in for first brake fluid and pollen filter this week.
Just been advised we can have software 3.7 installed.

Did you get it done through your insurance or did you have to cover the windscreen replacement costs yourself as it was done through VW
