Hi Tommy,
The 240V socket under the seat id designed to deliver 300 W max. That means about 1.25Amps.
Not much. I run a little fridge/freezer off mine and you could also run an electric blanket.
I think it was really designed for running a laptop.
Cheers

"Continuous maximum output of 300W" according to the Buzz Cargo brochure.
Here's a great piece on camping in the Buzz https://www.theverge.com/23735554/vw-id ... -e-vanlife, which includes some info on the 230V option. Confirms 300W output with 450W surge. No camp mode unfortunately so power switches off after a while. That's a pain for me as I want to use my Cargo to sleep in with an electric blanket and to charge my e-bike.

It sounds frustrating that the vehicle doesn't meet your expectations, especially if you were hoping to run an 800W Vango induction hob. When designs overlook real-world user needs, it can feel like the creators missed an essential step—consulting those who'll actually use the product. Many manufacturers focus on aesthetics or marketing points, sometimes sacrificing practicality. It’s worth reaching out to the company with feedback. Maybe they'll consider user-centered improvements in future models!mattlaw75 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 10:09 am That’s quite disappointing, given it’s lifestyle pretences, I was hoping to run a Vango induction hob which is 800w.
Does feel like the vehicle was designed by people who didn’t consult the end users.
Shame.
