Hi,
Had a Buzz for over a year and changed electricity supplier to Octopus recently. I don't have an Ohme charger, but was able to set up Intelligent Octopus fine. I do find smart charging a bit patchy - the car defaults to Charge Immediately when I plug in, even when at home, and it often charges itself to 80% with no regard for the schedule that Octopus is showing me in the app. I've reverted to telling the car to only charge between 23.30 and 05.30, but this isn't a great way to charge as you often get off-peak electricity outside of these times and the Octopus App complains it can't charge when it wants to. Anyone come up with a reliable solution that doesn't involve a lot of faff? The car has very reliable access to WiFi at home.
Thanks

Intelligent Octopus
I have a Zappi charger that Octopus can handle. When I first got the Buzz I set up Octopus to control the buzz but it didn't seem to use spare solar during the day. I switched to letting Octopus control the Zappi, and it all works fine. The only notable thing is that Octopus seems to assume that the Buzz always needs a full charge so it sets a charging schedule accordingly, but that's OK as Buzz just switches off when he's done.
^=== This - I've just done the same with a new Zappi V2 and Intelligent Octopus Go (got my ID Buzz 3 days ago) and is seems to be working fine.... Let Octopus manage the charger (as long as it's on their list) and not the car.... Set the car to 80% and forget....phil wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 8:34 am I have a Zappi charger that Octopus can handle.
