Key Fob locking options

Hi Everyone
I'm thinking of getting an ID buzz cargo commerce
Being the base model I think it comes with a standard key fob
As i know to my cost there is lots of tool theft going on and so i will empty the van every night of everything of that is attractive to thieves
I was thinking of leaving the cargo area unlocked so that if anyone wants to check inside they can do.
could an owner tell me if it is possible to just lock the cab area of the van with the fob leaving the cargo area unlocked ?

i will probably get an aftermarket alarm that will sound a siren should they open the door
the main thing is a that i don't want them to peel the door or jab it with a screwdriver as it is so costly to repair

Since i ended up buying a I.D Buzz Cargo i can now answer my own question
the key fob has three buttons
the middle one unlocks the load area whilst leaving the cab locked
